new single coming soon!

Slipping Away is James Everett's first original R&B/Soul single, expected to drop this summer, 2022. The song brings the invisible to light with lyrical vulnerability that speaks to the heart in this game of love, loss, commitment, redemption and trust. It's a story we all know too well. However, Slipping Away just doesn't deal with romance, the song brings light to loved ones lost, fading relationships and the silent sufferers; those who say that everything is alright when it really isn't.  This song has been in the making for quite sometime.  The final chapter of this story, the lyrics and the strength to complete it ironically unfolded during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A possible future album is in the works. The release date has not yet been decided due to funding.  Some of the songs to be featured on the album will include two cover song remakes (Loving You by Minnie Riperton and The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack). Both renditions are uniquely interrupted with reverence, style and vocal acrobatics.  The other ten original songs  (written by James Everett)  draw influences from Jazz, Neo-Soul and Gospel.
